Westport Ontario has a variety of makers, bakers and shakers; you’ll find everything made locally from craft beer & wine, custom wooded cutting-boards, and YouTube Vloggers. For many years Westport artisans have been showcasing their skills and as Westport evolves, a new group of makers have joined in to accompany the seasoned veterans. For example The Westport Brewing Company has brought us some delightful brews, and picturesque views of the harbour.
We’ve wined and dined in the sunshine at Scheuermann Vineyard + Winery.
Bear Mountain Boats continues to astonish us with their craftsmanship.
The newly created Westport Market has introduced new artists such as “Westport Wood.”
And…we can’t forget about the folks who have been making things here for well over a decade. A great example would be The Cottage Coffee House with their “Canadiana bakery goodness” such as Butter Tarts, Blueberry Scones and gluten-free Trail Bars.
Another wonderful example of creativity is the lighthearted Vlog series called “Espresso Shots”, which began in 2017 and has recent launched a new series called “Made in Westport”.
The premiere episode of Made in Westport highlighting The Cottage Coffee House can be viewed below.
If you’ve never been to Westport Ontario or maybe you’ve not been here in a while, November might be the perfect time to come experience our village. On Friday November 22nd, you can experience all the wonder of the village at our annual Shop’n Hop and Westport Christmas Market. The stunning horse drawn wagon-rides through the village and the outdoor European- style marketplace will conjure up the spirit of the holidays and leave you longing for more Westport.
