Canada Day festivities were in full swing yesterday in Westport. Organized by the Royal Canadian Legion Upper Rideau Branch 542, with the help of many other community members and organizations in Westport, the day was chalked full of events and activities. It was exciting to see so many familiar faces out and about enjoying the day.
Below are some photos from the Canada Day Breakfast where the Westport Art Council revealed the artists’ Adirondack chairs as part of their Art on the Street series.
The Canada Day bike parade was also not to be missed. Kids (and parents alike) enjoyed decorating bicycles, dressing up in their best red and white, and waving flags. A quick stop at Town Hall to raise the Canadian flag and to sing O-Canada, then on through the village for everyone to see.
A big thank you to all involved in making these events a success.
