Hello my friends,
Exciting news! The grapes are ready and harvest time has arrived.
Our 7th annual communal picks will be Saturday October 12th & October 19th, weather permitting.
Communal Pick Details:
Come prepared to spend the day in comfy farm shoes, sunglasses or protective eye wear and lots of layers. Harvesting grapes in cold climate zones means we pick grapes close to the ground so bring along a stool to sit on (milk crates are great). This is a family day so children are most welcome.
What Does The Day Look Like?
We have adopted a routine over the years and our days itinerary starts by joining together at 9am to roll netting, then we break around 10:00 for coffee and cookies. We will pass out snips (we supply) at this time and take a minute to share the how to of harvesting. Picking is expected to be finished between 3 and 4pm.
It is custom to celebrate bringing in the harvest with a beautiful meal and wine from previous vintages to say a most gracious thank you. Please plan to stay afterward for a family time of dining and dancing.
We promise your day will be full of sunshine, fresh air, laughter and friends. We are excited to spend it with you and share in the bounty of our land.
Sincerely, Francois and Allison
Please RSVP by emailing wine@scheuermannwinery.com and telling us the number of folks joining you. Thank you!
