Yin yoga is a passive, quiet and meditative style of practice where postures are held anywhere between 3-5 minutes. This helps to release tension in the connective tissues of the body allowing for space to be created and energy to flow more freely. Releasing tension in the body can also release tension in the mind. Yin yoga complements well a Yang yoga practice.
