Event Recap: IAWAH & CHRI Summer Splash

Event Recap: IAWAH & CHRI Summer Splash

On Saturday Camp IAWAH hosted CHRI for their annual listener appreciation day. 120 staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to host over 1,000 CHRI listeners, friends and families.

Held on the expansive IAWAH grounds, there was what seemed to be an activity for just about everyone. You could try your hand at archery; or a watermelon eating contest; play some volleyball; paddle with kayaks and paddle boards; or just lounge on the beach and enjoy the (still cool) waters of Wolfe Lake. Didn’t want to dip your toe in the water? Well you could go on a pontoon boat ride to see the area and enjoy the sun. Needed an escape from the sun to cool down? Well IAWAH and CHRI even had an answer for that. You could play a bit of pickup basketball in the gym, or find your inner strength to climb their rock wall.

Everywhere we looked, there were smiling faces and at the end of the day, that’s what events like these are about. What a wonderful way to kick off the summer season.
