This great free café and live music night with Shawn McCullough is coming up on Tuesday Sept. 21 from 6-8PM.  We are gathering under the big tent at the Westport Free Methodist Church (85 Bedford St.)  Enjoy delicious treats by chef Angela and warm drinks by The Cottage Coffee House.  It’s a fun evening with neighbours and friends for a great cause.

The province wants to know about the housing situation in our area and has asked us to get the best info we can, so why not throw a party?  the whole evening is free and all we ask is that one person per household would fill out a housing survey at the event with one of our volunteers.  The surveys will be confidential and the information given to the province anonymously.  The first step to a solution is informing the province that there is a problem with affordable housing locally.  While all are invited to attend, we extend a special invitation to any and all friends and neighbours who are struggling with precarious housing costs and homelessness so that we can work on solutions for the future.
