James King returns to Westport on Thursday March 28th, 2024 for a performance at The Cove Inn from 5-8pm. This is part of The Cove’s Original Thursdays music series.

James King is a singer/songwriter, and all  around performer from North Augusta, ON. His style has been described as “Rock n Roll Troubadour” and due to his unique vocal sound, which emulates many of the classic rock vocalists of the 70s, he has performed his original music across Canada. While living in Toronto, His band “James King & the Midnight Hours” held a year-long residency at the Amsterdam Bicycle Club, before branching out to play many of the famous rock venues throughout the city. In 2018 they made the National Top 100 in CBC’s Searchlight Contest, out of 2,072 artists from across Canada. In 2020,  the band recorded their full length debut album “Moonchild” with Juno nominated producer Alex Gamble at Union Sound. It was released in 2022 and is now available on all streaming platforms. Since returning home to the Brockville area in 2021, James can be found gigging solo all over the countryside, while working on a new record.
