Come to the WTC Communications Centre on Saturday August 12th, 2023 for the “Tin Palace Dreamin” Friends of the Arena fundraiser.
FOTA has been working hard for several years. In 2021, FOTA decided to focus on raising funds to support a major renovation at the WTC Communications Centre. The plan is to take the building from an arena to a community centre. They and the Village are hopeful for a Provincial Infrastructure Grant and the fund raising will help raise the municipal portion. It is unknown at this time how much that will be, they generally run from 33% to 12% of the cost of the build.
On August 12, FOTA is holding its annual fundraiser at the arena. FOTA has planned a white table cloth roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and desert. The entertainment will be live music during dinner and then three comedians are lined up to finish the event. And yes, there will be a bar.
Tickets are $75 pp and advance tickets are required. Only 125 dinner tickets will be sold.
